Salary range: £32,000 - £35,000
Cambridge Electronic Industries Ltd is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of connectors and cable assemblies. Servicing a wide range of industries from our headquarters close to Cambridge UK. CEI has been trading since 1983 and operates on a global basis.
We are looking for a sales person, ideally with engineering background, focused on technical sales of Cable Assemblies, RF Connectors, bespoke cable looms, full product build and integration. You will look after a number of existing accounts whilst also seeking out new business opportunities. The successful candidate will develop and maintain profitable new sales growth, by pro-actively targeting new customers. Reporting to our Sales Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with our technical and manufacturing teams to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time.
Utilising Goldmine CRM tool to manage leads and drive sales performance you will self-generate leads through careful planning and business development activity and identify the best accounts to target for growth. Remote access to both CRM and ERP systems will allow you to manage quotations, follow up leads, monitor and track all opportunities.
Although our cable assembly customer base is mainly UK we enjoy a global presence for our full range of interconnect products and therefore you should be prepared to travel for the purposes of meeting with our overseas customers and distributors, as well as attending exhibitions on behalf of the company. Candidates should have experience in a customer facing field sales role and the ability to communicate with all levels of design and procurement, be able to build and maintain strong relationships and deliver good quality customer service. A knowledge of, or experience in, a contract manufacturing environment involving mechanical and electronic products would be an advantage, as would the ability to understand technical drawings. A strong analytical person, you will have good communication skills and the ability to resolve problems as you will work closely with internal and external designers and technical teams. It is critical that all applicants have good written and verbal communication skills, are PC literate and are capable of delivering clear and concise messages at all levels. You will be a self-motivated individual with sound commercial and operational awareness, who is able to use their initiative and work on their own
