To ensure signal integrity over the 12G-SDI transmission path it is essential for interconnection systems to be constructed with 12G-SDI compliant components. At Cambridge Electronic Industries, we use our precision 12GHz connectors coupled with high-quality cables from world-leading branded manufacturers. All our 12GHz cable assemblies meet the needs of the Broadcast, HDTV and other high speed, high definition vision applications, as well as meeting the CXP-12 CoaXPress standards.

The CA-BZPHBP-XO-XXXXX is a BNC plug to Micro BNC plug patch cable made with Belden 4694R cable, which can be made to any length required. We have no minimum order quantities for special length cables and they can be further customised with colour coding, bespoke labelling and special marking to suit custom applications.

If you are looking for a long distance cable, but are being prohibited due to maximum transmission distances, take a look at our Xtensa CXP repeater range which when used in conjunction with our cables can vastly extend the range of your signal over coaxial cable.

XBT-1069-NGXX – BNC Plug for 12G Applications (Standard Version)

Our range of 12GHz Precision BNC coaxial connectors are optimised for 4K/Quad HD and Ultra HD Broadcast applications and have been developed under the CoaxVision™ Brand name, while
meeting the JIIA CoaXPress specification. These high performance connectors allow you to achieve a 12GHz channel in one single connection. The BNC connectors are mateable with any standard BNC connector, but to achieve peak design performance we recommend using Cambridge Connectors 12GHz CoaxVision™ BNC plug and socket.

XPT-D001-NGXX – Micro BNC Cable Terminated Plug for 12G Applications

Our range of 12GHz Precision Micro BNC coaxial connectors are optimised for 4K/Quad HD and Ultra HD Broadcast applications and have been developed under the CoaxVision™ Brand name, while meeting the JIIA CoaXPress specification. These high performance connectors allow you to achieve a 12GHz channel in one single connection. The Micro BNC connectors are mateable with any standard Micro BNC connector, but  optimum performance is achieved when PCB mounted styles are interfaced with these Cambridge Connectors 12GHz Micro BNC plugs, designed for use with 12GHz cable (such as Belden 4855R, 1694A, 4694R, 4505R).

The XPT-D001-NGXX connector is a cable mounted Micro BNC plug, which can be used with Belden cables for 12G applications.

The following tools are recommended for use with this connector:

Xtensa Challenger – Single Port Micro BNC CXP Repeater

The in-line CoaXPress repeater is designed to transmit and receive signals on 75 ohm coaxial cable. In one direction an 8b/10b coded downlink signal is transmitted between 1.25 Gbps and 12.5 Gbps. In the opposite direction, a lower speed 8b/10b coded uplink signal is transmitted at 21Mbps or 42Mbps.

The repeater performs equalising, re-clocking and cable driving functions for both the up and downlinks. Multiple repeaters can be used in a single connection to extend cable distance to suit individual applications. The repeater requires power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) to operate, negating the need for an external power source. The repeater is directional and must be inserted into the transmission line as indicated on the coaxial ports. An LED indicator is lit when the port is in use.

A wall mounting bracket for the CXP Repeater is also available (part number CXP-Mounting Bracket).
